Bathroom Vanity Remodel in Eckington, Washington, D.C.
Bathroom vanity remodel in Eckington, Washington, D.C. by H&C Contractors Inc. In this Northeast DC bathroom we installed a gray shaker double vanity with a marble-look countertop, matte black faucets and hardware, black-framed mirrors and glass vanity lights.
Custom bathroom vanity with a double sink
The double vanity has gray shaker doors and drawers with matte black pulls, a white marble-look countertop with a matching backsplash, and two rectangular undermount sinks with single-hole matte black faucets. A toilet paper holder mounted on the side of the vanity keeps the wall clear.
Matte black fixtures, mirrors and lighting
Rounded black-framed mirrors hang above each sink, under three-light vanity fixtures with clear glass shades and Edison-style bulbs. Matte black towel bars on both walls match the faucets and cabinet pulls, and a gray tile floor grounds this Eckington bathroom.
Plumbing and electrical for a new vanity in DC
A double vanity needs two sets of supply lines and drains, placed to match the sink spacing before the vanity goes in. On the electrical side, each vanity light needs a box centered over its mirror, and outlets near a bathroom vanity must be GFCI-protected. Bathroom remodels in DC that move plumbing or add electrical work typically need permits from the DC Department of Buildings; we prepare the drawings, apply for the permits and schedule the inspections.
