Double Vanity Bathroom Remodel in Petworth, Washington, D.C.

Double vanity bathroom remodel in Petworth, Washington, D.C. by H&C Contractors Inc. This Petworth bathroom got a new vanity wall built around a floating double vanity, two vessel sinks and a pair of capsule mirrors, with marble-look tile from floor to ceiling.

Custom bathroom vanity with vessel sinks

The floating double vanity has four wide drawers in a warm wood-grain finish and a solid white countertop, with two round vessel sinks under wall-mounted matte black faucets and separate lever handles. Capsule-shaped mirrors hang above each sink, and an LED strip under the vanity lights the floor.

Bathroom tile installation: marble-look and textured tile

Large-format marble-look tile covers the side walls and the floor, and a fine textured tile on the vanity wall adds depth without competing with the marble. Recessed ceiling lights, crown molding and a matte black towel warmer beside the vanity finish the room.

Plumbing, electrical and permits in Washington, DC

Wall-mounted faucets mean new supply lines inside the wall, set at the right height for vessel sinks before the tile goes up. The electrical work covers the LED strip, the recessed lights, the towel warmer and GFCI-protected outlets. Bathroom remodels in DC that move plumbing or add electrical work typically need permits from the DC Department of Buildings; we prepare the drawings, apply for the permits and schedule the inspections.
