Master bathroom remodel in Shepherd Park, Washington, D.C. by H&C Contractors Inc. We took out a dated bathroom with travertine tile, a glass block shower wall, a drop-in jetted tub and a wood double vanity, and rebuilt the room in white and gray. See the before and after photos.

The new bathroom has a white shaker double vanity with a marble-look countertop, matte black faucets and a lighted LED mirror. The glass block wall gave way to a glass shower with marble-look wall tile, a recessed niche and a rain shower head, and a new rectangular tub sits under white vertical tile and a modern LED light fixture. Gray hexagon tile runs across the whole floor.

Replacing a glass block shower and a built-in jetted tub is a common master bath upgrade. It usually means new plumbing, new walls and a new floor, so we plan the layout, plumbing and electrical together before demolition starts.
